It's freaky, a bit gross, definitely a winner

The kiddo loved it! It can be a bit messy but at least it is STEAM. He could easily get a second set and be entertained. My son is 7 yrs old, he likes science and like most boys, messes, sticky, slimy and a bit gross things.
